    there are plenty …
there are plenty more than ‘any’ advantages. a bigsby is just for vibrato, while the floyd rose is the actual whammy bar that does the drops and squeals and stuff.

    also depends on the …
also depends on the style of music you want to play
not everyone needs a floyd or even a tremolo at all

still very cool that they created the option in the les paul to have it!

    Actually I checked …
Actually I checked out the store, and I prefer Floyd Rose… But yeah, this guitar I found at the cheapest price was $3000 dollars… Good deal…

    An advantage is …
An advantage is that it goes hand in hand with vintage guitars.
These guitars do not need Floyd Roses installed. Instead, they are just fine with limitations of a bigsby.

I would only play with a Bigsby if I was playing a Vintage guitar. If you plan on getting one on an electric, you’re better off avoiding that and purchasing a new guitar with a Floyd Rose. Reason is because Floyd Rose bridges are costly. There will also be the added cost of having it installed.

    Cosmetics. Thats …
Cosmetics. Thats all can think of. Floyd Roses are a lot more stable in terms of tuning, and you can do dives and screams more easily, and with Bigsby, it would go terribly out of tune.

    Is there any …
Is there any advantages of a Bigsby over a Floyd Rose? lol
    ANY?!

    To be honest, I …
To be honest, I don’t really know the point of a Bigsby. I know it is less expensive than a Floyd Rose, but I think Floyd Roses are worth the money if it’s within a budget.

    then what’s the …
then what’s the point of a Bigsby?

Oh… Floyd Rose is already build with the guitar (well no, but you know what I mean)… Bigsby is something where you have to put it on yourself… Bigsby is for guitars who don’t have tremolos already on them…

    a floyd rose isn’t …
a floyd rose isn’t better then a bigsby, its a matter of opinion. A bigsby wasn’t designed to do the things that a floyd can. I personally like the feel of a bigsby better, but I do love my ibanez that has a floyd on it.

    A Floyd Rose is a …
A Floyd Rose is a lot better than a Bigsby.

A Bigsby has its limitations as it can’t go downwards, whereas a Floyd Rose can go both, down and up. A skilled player can use these techniques to make the guitar growl/scream.

Floyd Rose bridges also come with double locking systems. Put simply, this means that when you use the bar, the strings will not become de-tuned.

That’s why a Floyd Rose bridge is better than a Bigsby.
