I went and did it! I went and bought a genuine Gibson Les Paul! The Guitar Center, or Gibson, or maybe both musta gone crazy or something! They had these faded tops, color scheme guitars (kind of a new line, maybe wasn’t moving real good(?)), marked down to $799! I ain’t even kidding! A real Gibson Les Paul, under a thousand dollars, unheard of! I saw in their brochure that even their Epiphone Les Pauls are marked down, some at half price. But for the regular price of an Epiphone Les Paul, or about the same regular price for an American made Fender Stratocastor, you can buy a Gibson Les Paul; you buy the Gibson Les Paul! I’m just saying… So I did! And this video is the unboxing, er, uncasing, it came with it’s own hardcase, no BS! Go to your local Guitar Center today, and get one yourself! It’s real sweet! Well, watch the video!
Peace,

Here’s a great condition 1956 Gibson Les Paul Custom (Black Beauty) which I will be posting for sale soon on eBay. It is not perfect as it did get played but it is way cleaner than I’ve ever seen for one of these. Note the California “Cal” Girl pink lined case in the backround. From what I gather there were less than 500 of these made that year and less than 1000 total of this model ever made between the prototypes in 1953 until the end of 1956 (they changed to Humbucking pickups in 1957). Send me a message (through my channel page link…just click on my name or avatar) if you are interested. Most of this demo was with played on the “Burn” channel of my Fender Super Sonic amp and I vary the amount of gain (distortion) by changing the amp settings…I start with everything set at 5 (except the volume which was about 3) and then increase everthing as the video goes on and also by “playing” dynamics (how hard I hit the strings) and with the volume and tone controls on the guitar…when I say “treble” position, I mean “bridge” and when I say “bass” position, I mean “neck”. I play it clean at the very end to show that off as well…this guitar is awesome!
I sell lots of used guitars and basses (both here and on eBay…same name there…100% positive feedback) and I’m a dealer for the Mbrace stands and also Thomastik-Infeld strings. Let me know if there is something you want/write me if you’re interested…use the send a message link on my channel page.
Also…Guitars Wanted as I’m always looking for more guitars…I buy/sell/trade ‘em.
The guitar is plugged straight into my same old rig (no effects at all)…a Fender Super Sonic combo with an Avatar 2×12 all loaded with 12″ Hellatone 30’s. Any other questions, just ask…
