this is a great review! i just bought the rat and had some doubts but after seeing this i’m pretty happy with my purchase. the you dirty rat sounds awesome too but probably a little less suited for what i need.
a lot of people do reviews of just one pedal but it’s so difficult to compare sounds on youtube just between different videos. the shootout is brilliant! thanks! and agreed, awesome boots!

different strokes …
different strokes for different folks
but it really depends on what kind of music you play…
lots of people will have 2 OD’s- one for clean boost and one for gain, some people have an od for boost and a little dirt, a dist for leads and rhythms, and a fuzz for other leads.
It all depends on what you play. Hendrix used a fuzz face, while people like Angus Young just crank their amps.
