Playing my brand “new ” 1965 Melody Maker D along with my more recent Gibson Les Paul Junior 2006 & Melody Maker 2007, amp is my Fender champion 110, same settings for all 3 guitars,

    Great playing, I think the 2006 Les Paul Junior seemed to get across the vibrato and guitar shaking a little better than the other two. The Melody Maker was extremely close to it.
    But I’ld take anyone for sure. so much for people who say Gibson doesn’t make them like they used to.

    i would say the melody maker , simply because it is more of an icon and i personally think it sounds better

    hi.. I already have 2 epiphone guitars, an epiphone special 2 and an epiphone les paul standard. Im trying to decide whether to get the melody maker now or wait until i have enough money to buy the lp junior. I just wanted to know what your recomendation would be cuz they sound very similar in the video.

    Good head-to-head test (small heads ^^) - the 2007 one ain’t put to shame by her older sister, and both MM sound nicely along the junior.
