I red some of comments here.. It is wierd to judge a instrument for its weight, look or brand.. Its all about how it sounds I guess.. Obviously this instrument sounds great, it might be expensive or light, but this does not mean that its bad!!

yeah! a couple of my friends have the zakk wylde which they say is way beyond the average epiphone lp standard!! also i read somewhere that the epiphone lp customs and epiphone elistists are made in different areas of the world so i guess they get more attention than the standard production epiphone?? i’ve heard the zakk wylde epiphone and that does not sound like an epiphone!!!

LOL!!!! i saw the 97 joe perry signature les paul and wondered if they are ever going to make a les paul standard in that translucent black burst finish? i mean i saw them make a “gecko” burst a few years ago and i think i’m the only one that actually liked that finished! LOL!

yess!!! my original ‘59 is almost 10 pounds!! when i checked out a 2009 gibson les paul standard, it was way lighter! about 7 pounds or so….. it’s weird with the lighter weight, doesn’t have that “real instrument” feel to it….
