i saw journey/heart …
i saw journey/heart/cheap trick too recently. very good.
if you haven’t heard the “The Hendrix Set” CD featuring Schon (with Paul Rodgers [Bad Company] on vocals, Deen Castronovo [current Journey drummer] and Todd Jensen on bass), I’d highly recommend it.
Although I’ve always thought Schon was a good guitarist, that CD immediately catapulted him way to the top of my list of favorites.

You are correct my …
You are correct my friend, anyone that doubts it can ask either Satriani or Vai themselves and they would tell you that Neal Shon is one more Bad ass. listen to this interview folks, he says he was in Santana in 1968, he was 15 years old in 1968! Santana has stated numerous times that Neal is the most technically sound guitarist he has ever seen. Neal is a Stud!

yes, very underated. he can burn it up when he wants. But I like him because he always has a wonderful tone & his solos fit the songs perfectly. Schon might be the most melodic player ever.

As regards to him …
As regards to him being one of the fastest, just find the clip during Hearing Aid back in the 80’s when he is back at the console with Dio and Malmsteen and many others. He blew everybody away both playing wise and mentally. And you can tell that he was out of place with them all because of being in Journey and all. And that makes it even more wild!!!!
