AHA…I see you …
I have been eyeing your Dakota 69 for the past few months, and in fact I emailed you about it as soon as it was in. I’m a collector of late 60s stuff. Got a Black 69 Strat, Sunburst 69 Strat and a bunch of other stuff here. Looking for a white…possibly other custom colored 69s soon.
AHA…I see you deleted my earlier comment , but at least you had the decency to reply to it

It breaks my heart …
It breaks my heart to see instruments, made for playing sweet music, being touted as investment articles. Inevitable, I suppose, but heartbreaking, none the less.

Hi Ric,
Been a while mate, your store looks great! Left some footage that includes that lovely Rickenbacker Lap Slide you sold me, haven’t found another like. Just tears it up, the output of those horse pickups is astonishing.
I’ll pop in for a cuppa one of these days, miss you not being in Freo.
Best

Ridiculous. The …
Ridiculous. The only people who should be “collecting” guitars as such are those who can actually play them. I hate watching Rickenbacker 4001 basses going on eBay to random collectors who will let it sit unplayed for years. Ridiculous. A guitar belongs in the hands of an artist.

No tree grows to the sky. I’d say prices on these guitars have reached their upper limit, for now at least, and are due for a sizeable “correction”. Don’t get left holding the bag if you’re only buying them for investment value.

guitars should be played and not hung on a wall and looked at…i have around 20 guitars and they’re ALL players…none are to be looked at and not played

My ociate bought …
My ociate bought a dec. 59 model in good shape for 95K last month. What was that one in the vid? A reissue? Only near mint all original flamey tops get 300K in the states. I never heard of one going for 400 yet. I have a 56 LP Custom for sale. All original, very good shape, just less than normal wear, not quite as clean as the one in your vid but I would say worth 25K US. Sad, in my school days they were going for 200 bucks!
