I need detailied information on how to change the speed knobs on a gibson les paul studio electric guitar?
Published: September 5th, 2008
I have a Gibson les paul studio with chrome hardware and i think it will look better with gold volume/tone controls. But i dont know how to get it off. Please give me a detailed help plan. Thanks
The best way (not cheapest but safest for the guitar) is get the knob puller from Stewart-Macdonald. It uses the same idea as
a steering wheel puller, and will not damage the finish or the knobs, saving the original hardware in case you sell the guitar later. Original hardware included helps sell items if they have been modded. Stew-Mac also sells the gold speed knobs.
