Yes it takes months …
Yes it takes months, but they only do a little at a time. If you were to work nonstop for a whole day, you could make a playable guitar. All the special stuff would take longer. but a standerd guitar could take about a day if you worked nonstop.

that is a lot more …
that is a lot more to it then that, such as specific wiring, or take the wires and putting them all different kinda ways to make different tones. Like Jimmy Page, who had a coil tap on his guitar. He would split the sound of one humbucking pickup (such as the ones on a les paul) and make them sound like a single coil (such as the pickups on a fender stratocaster, thin and have one row of magnets)
