I have a Gibson Les Paul which I bought back in 1997 second hand, It says on the back of the head stock, Promotional Not for Resale. Can anyone please tell me what that is all about? Does it mean that its not a genuine Gibson?

Apparently "Promotional" guitars were used for trade shows, although it seems your guitar is a genuine Gibson.
