I’m planning to buy one and it does really cost huge, therefore I wouldn’t want to spend dear for something really cheap and fake. What are the key marks of an original one?
This should be of help to you with info on that.

Which one should I get, Epiphone LEs PAul Custom, Epiphone Les Paul standard Plus Top or Epiphone Les Paul Tribute. which one is worth it, and which one do you recomend.
The first one, it’s bigger and stronger.
Hope that helps

Hi, I’m getting a new guitar and I want to choose between Epiphone Les Paul Standard custom and Epiphone Les Paul Standard. Which one do you recommend more.
I tried one of each a while ago, and bought the Standard. The Standard had just the tone of a real Gibson, although poorer intonation. The Custom was made out of really light wood and sounded cheap, although it cost more. So try before you buy. I think the sunburst finish was a factor - you can see it is made of the right woods, while who knows what was hidden under the beautiful white paint of the other one.

Other than the Black Beauty having 3 pick-ups and the Custom having only 2. Are there any others? They look exactly the same other than that and the price difference isn’t that significant.
Would like to know as I am planning to buy a Les Paul at the end of the year and prefer the look of the Custom (2 pick ups) and could live without an additional one. However, i wouldnt mind payin the extra $200AUD if its worth the upgrade.
they are exactly the same besides having a mid pickup. both are mahogany with rosewood fretboard (22 frets). even have the same pups, vol and tone pots. they are literally exactly the same besides that one pup. and on the one with two pups, you can set the tone to a combination of the neck and bridge pickups, essentially making the same sound that the middle pickup would make (it has a 3-way pickup switch.) Its not worth the extra money for that one pickup, theyre a pretty crappy pickups anyway (id replace them). good luck

I have a new Epiphone les paul and I now want to upgrade the pickups to something with a little more power. If it helps, I like to play some punk, alternate and classic rock and also would like pickups that can deliver a nice clean tone as well. Thanks in advance!!
Check out Seymour Duncan: http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/humbucker/ - awesome pickups! The site explains each pickup in detail.

I prefer the studio but I was wondering if there was a big difference between the two…..
The Les Paul Custom most likely will have a better set-up and better woods.
The Les Paul Studio Deluxe just has low-profile woods and its set-up could be worse.
If you go with the Custom, you’ll save money. The Studio Deluxe isn’t very good. I would prefer Grover Tuners over some fake Kluson ones.

I could buy a Gibson Les Paul Custom from the early 70’s,or I could get a new one.I was wondering if there was anyone out there who had experience with vintage guitars and their reliability(neck problems and the such). The guitar has to be tough enough to withstand everyday use and road use. Thanks
Les Pauls are renown for their durability. If it has been kept in good shape there should be no problems with playability. A early 70s Les Paul would be a great instrument and could be valuable too. If it is in good shape I would prefer the old one over the new one

My friend and i are having an argument on which guitar is better. To settle the fight, i decided to turn to th Internet.
For some reason your question has appeared in Visual Arts (Painting).
Try asking this in Entertainment & Music (Music).
The answer is going to be subjective, one person’s great guitar is guaranteed to be someone else’s disaster. Personally I’d go for the Les Paul copy (but I don’t much like either of them, I’d rather have a Telecaster).
Agree to differ and have a drink instead.
