I’m thinking about buying one but when I look this guitar up on the internet, the only two finishes I see are either ebony or alpine white. Are there anymore? Also, if you have one, how’s the quality on this guitar?
The antique Ivory w/ black back (my personal fav), Silverburst, Ebony and Alpine White. These are the only current production colors I know of.

I really liked this 1957 Les Paul Custom (Re-issue) in my local guitar store, they are asking $1700 for it, is this a reasonable price, it is deeply near perfect condition and the price includes a guitar case. I have always wanted a Les Paul Custom mainly because Randy Rhoads owned a black/gold one from this same year. What are your opinions on this guitar, is it a good buy?
Hope you examined it closely, including the fret board for warping. All you need to do is go online and see what the going rate might be for something like this. A guitar is a very personal thing. If you play it and love it and the tone is what you’re looking for, then the price is right. I have a 1959 Gretsch Anniversary, single pickup, in excellent condition and I’m sure I can get $1500 to 2000 for it. You’re obviously interested in this. Do some more research and play it some more and then go for it if it feels right.

I want to get an Epiphone Les Paul Custom (Alpine White) for my birthday in November (22) . I want to buy it online because we dont have good guitar shops here and i need to know what sites ship them internationally.
thx in advance
Beautiful instrument, nice choice!
You may want to look into a company like Bongo International http://www.BongoUS.com .
They will set you up with your own US address so that you can shop for your guitar and get the very best price possible. It won’t matter if the retailer ships internationally if you have a US address to send to.

I have always wondered, was he the first guy who told the makers "Hey I want a 3 pickup (double coiled) on a tiger flamed cherry burst custom les paul" cause I’ve only seen Black les pauls with 3 pickups and they are usually humbuckers not double coil pickups. so was he the first to want one made like that? I want to know more about the history of his custom guitars.
What you are calling "Double Coil" pickups are humbuckers with the cover removed. That was a fad in the ’70s, people thought it boosted the output and gave a cleaner signal. We now know that boosting the output of a humbucker is not necessary, the best way to a cleaner signal is to move the pickups away from the strings, and the covers are transparent to magnet signals from the strings, only blocking electrostatic signals from electronic noise sources.
Black is the standard color for the LP Custom, and the Ace Frehley is listed as a LP Custom, but it has a maple rather than mahogany top making it really a three pickup standard with gold hardware.

I have a sunburst Epiphone Les Paul Custom and I was just wondering if it is worth upgrading to a Gibson Les Paul for the price?
Yes if you can afford it you should. Epiphone is the low end brand of Gibson, so in essence you are upgrading from the beginner version to the real version. The guitar will sound better and be worth a lot more. It’ll also retain its value better. The Gibson brand name is the most famous guitar brand ever, aside from Fender, while everyone know Epiphone is just the entry level brand of Gibson

In terms of craftsman ship and hardware and also looks. The Destroyer is in a silver burst finish and the Les Paul in a White finish, which one looks better also.
The Ibanez dtt700, not the older models.
Les Paul. Ibanez makes a good bass but a lousy guitar

I was wondering because ive been playing for about 3-4 years and am looking to go further in music.
If you like the single-cut, you can look for a higher-end ESP LTD, but I am a huge fan of Carvin guitars. Made in the USA and sold direct. They have a menu of options and they build the guitar just for you and you get it in about 2 months. Then you have 10 to decide if you want it!
I’ve been playing guitar for nearly 20 years, and it’s the best guitar I’ve ever owned. They sell Strat-alikes, PRS-style carved-tops, single-cut LP-like guitars, neck-through shredder guitars, etc etc. Honestly, I don’t work for them, I’m just a huge huge fan of their guitars. http://www.carvinguitars.com/index.php
If you want even more bang for your buck, check out Edwards or Agile guitars rondomusic.com . They are Korean made, and if you get a 3000, 3100 or 3200 model guitar, you get a great-quality instrument for not a lot of money. The guitars on this site are in order from least expensive to more expensive, and the cheapest ones are fairly crap, but the nice ones are really nice. http://www.rondomusic.com/electricguitar-ss18.html
Or, for the boring answer, the next step up from your Epi would be a Gibson LP Studio.

Its got a lot of surface dings, but no structural damage, cracks, or warping at all so its just a matter of refinishing. Also the serial number stars with 8.
Thanks
There isn’t any fair price that depends on the buyer. I have a custom special edition that i wouldn’t sell for 3,000. Guitars are appreciating in price depending on condition, year, make, model and original parts. Unless your a qualified luthier i wouldn’t refinish it.

I’m planning to buy one and it does really cost huge, therefore I wouldn’t want to spend dear for something really cheap and fake. What are the key marks of an original one?
This should be of help to you with info on that.
