Gibson Les Paul Junior or Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior?

Filed under:  les paul junior  by:  admin

Is there a difference in sound? Can you tell the difference between the the alpine white BJA junior and the satin white regular junior? Should I get a regular les paul junior and get a 40 watt Marshall Haze Amp. Or just get the Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior.
Or I could get the Billie Joe and then get a Marshall MG30FX 30 watt amp which isn’t as good as the Marshall Haze.
i’m not a begginer so I don’t care about which guitar is better for begginers
I meant to say beginners

For starters the Gibson Les Paul plays easier and is of higher quality than the Billie Joe, that’s not to say the Billie Joe is garbage, but it doesn’t touch the Gibson. Another huge factor is that a Gibson Les Paul will hold its value substantially longer than the Billie Joe, pretty much forever assuming proper care of course. Hope this helps.

which one of these gibson les pauls is the best ????

The Studio is the Standard just smaller and without the binding on the side.

The Vintage mahogany is kind of the same just the same size of the Les Paul Standard

The BFG is like a beat up Les Paul that hasn’t been reliced properly. Good sound though

I’d Get the Studio. Looks just like a standard except for the truss rod cover. Just change it and say that it was a Standard.

What does it mean to have "Gibson" written on the truss rod of an Epiphone Les Paul Custom?

I got this guitar from my dad. I am trying to find out what year it was made in, but the serial number was ripped off when i got it. I am trying to sell it and am wondering what price I could sell it at. It’s pretty old but is in really good condition.

Gibson is the manufacturer, Epiphone is the line and Les Paul is the collection. What you have is a copy of an original Les Paul, made of cheaper, more common wood. Prices start at about $150. 00 for a new model.

switching to epiphone les paul custom?

Filed under:  custom les paul  by:  admin

i have been playing the acoustic guitar for almost half a year and i want to switch to an electric. is an epiphone les paul custom a good guitar to start with even if i have experience with a guitar?

I was in the same boat as you were. I played my acoustic for a couple of months and then I wanted an electric. So I myself bought an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and I do not regret it a bit. It is a really durable guitar and you can play almost any style of music with it. I matched mine with a Line 6 Spider II amp (good for beginners because it has many effects built in) and I absolutely love it. Go for it dude.

Les Paul Junior or Billie Joe Armstrong Signature Les Paul Junior?

Filed under:  les paul junior  by:  admin

I’m looking at buying a new electric guitar and I need to know what the difference is between the following guitars: Epiphone Les Paul Junior, Gibson Les Paul Junior and the Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong Signature Les Paul Junior. I need to know whether the signature is just paying for the name or is there a real difference in sound?
I want the kind of sounds green day gets through the LPJ Billie Joe custom which apparently has different pickups etc. I want to know whether I wont get that sound with a regular LPJ. When I write something on my acoustic and think ‘This’ll sound awesome on electric!’ then play it on my SG i just get disappointment coz the sound i imagine in my head is the Green Day guitar style.

First off, if you can afford an actual Les Paul, don’t bother with an Epiphone kind, those are beginner models. As for the decision of whether or not to get the Billie Joe model or the regular one, I’d say get a regular LPJ, because you want to have your own personal style, as opposed to a guitar designed to be just like his.
