Les Paul - Story of the invention of the electric guitar - Interview
One of Les Paul’s last interviews. It still gives me goose-bumps. This story and his last comment is so touching.

Here’s how my Gibson Epiphone Les Paul Standard sounds when played through my Marshall DFX amplifier.
No effects, just the gain full up and the volume down to minimum…’believe it!
Whole thing done using the back pickup with the tone control rolled back half way.

I got a Danelectro Trip L Wah pedal for Christmas, so I decided to make a demo of it. I’ve never played one before, so it’s not very great, but I didn’t see any other videos of this pedal on here. Please don’t be rude, I know it’s terrible, but I plan on making a better one soon, once I actually know how to play it well, and have a working video camera :S
Overall, I’d have to say I’m satisfied with this pedal, produces a pretty good sound at a cheap price
I’d also like to note that I played this on an Epiphone Les Paul Special II

I read lots of good reviews about Agile guitars and finally got one as a birthday present. Stock pickups on both guitars. No pedals, just Marshall head and Laney cab.
WHICH ONE IS BETTER?? Lol

Here is one sweet old guitar…I was blown away as soon as I plugged it in to my “rig”. I cleaned it up and set it up with a fresh set of D’addario XL Lights as best I could (the original bridge won’t give you proper intonation on all of the strings). Even with the few things that need attention…like the nut is cracked at the B string (note the piece of paper there), this thing screams! There is nothing quite like a 45 year old piece of Mahogany with an original Gibson P-90 pickup. I’ve always liked taking chances live and doing these demos as I’m led at the moment…completely unrehearsed (and in this and most cases, not even warmed up properly), it gives me an opportunity to fall on my face and keeps my ego from getting in the way. About 3/4 of the way through it hit me how rich and deep this guitar sounded in normal tuning, so I dropped the E string on the spot and played the rest in drop D tuning (which I haven’t done in ages and it probably shows…). I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed playing this old guitar. It will probably go up for sale on eBay soon. The video was recorded with my Nikon Coolpix 3200 digital camera set on video mode so the quality isn’t great (built in mic., etc.), but you can still get a good idea of what this guitar can do. The guitar was plugged straight into my “rig”…a Fender Super Sonic 1×12 combo with an Avatar 2×12 cab…all 3 speakers are Hellatone 30’s. Thanks for watching (and reading this far…), feel free to rate and comment.
