I decided I would like to replace my stock Gibson pickups with Seymour Duncan pickups.

So I made some videos to capture the sound for comparison.

I wasn’t going for accuracy when playing Lateralus.

Hopefully this will be useful for other people considering a change in sound.

1967 Gibson Patent # Paf Magnet Repair. Frank called and told me about a customer who had this 67 Gibson Barny Kessel Custom that the mag was out of phase from the factory and has been like this since 67. So it was an honor to work on this cool piece of history..

New guitar, “Vintage” LP. Got a cheap one off ebay as was that impressed by build quality of the Vintage SG I did for nephew.

I have fitted with Seymour Duncan SH2 in neck which I am playing through here, and a Dimarzio in the Bridge for metal

The Mrs said this sounded like a bad magicians act!! Lol! Georgia Blues not her fav style obviously!
