Despite some limitations from arthritis, Les Paul takes the stage every Monday night at New York’s Iridium Jazz Club.

Artists such as Paul McCartney, Jeff Beck and Keith Richards drop by the club to see him.   Richards once said: “We must all own up that without Les Paul, generations of flash little punks like us would be in jail or cleaning toilets.”

A recent LA Times article by Emili Vesilind reports on a photo exhibition called ‘Gibson Through the Lens’ on now at the Sunset Marquis Hotel until August 24.

There are 70 photographs on display in the presentation sponsored by Gibson.  Rock legends Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana, Marc Bolan and John Lennon among others are shown with their guitars in these dynamic photos.

The article also contains a short interview with famous rock photographer Neal Preston about Marc Bolan.
